I had never imagined in my life that an unplanned backpacking trip to the Himalayas with a college friend would subsequently get documented in the form of a book, which goes on to become #1 best seller in the travel writing category on Amazon.in.
The trip that I am talking about happened in the summer of 2017 when I casually asked Vishal Bhavsar if he was interested in going to the Himalayas with me and he promptly accepted my offer. The travelogue Vishal wrote during the trip, later got converted into ‘Tryst with Reality’. The rest, as they say, is history.
The trip not only took us to pilgrimage places like Kainchi Dham, Haridwar, Rishikesh, Devprayag, Uttarkashi, Gangotri and Gaumukh, but also initiated us into an internal journey of self-realisation.
Variety of people including professionals, bureaucrats, students, senior citizens, artists and children have found ‘Tryst with Reality’ very inspiring as well as motivating, particularly in these difficult post-covid times. The book does no preaching, but just gives insights into how the universe can work in our favour if we surrender unconditionally.
The experiences we had during those 15 days has changed us inside-out and given us a very different perceptive towards our families as well as profession. Our ‘journey’ to the Himalayas has helped us come back as ‘better versions’ of ourselves. I strongly recommend you to read ‘Tryst with Reality’ and take your own journey towards inner transformation.
